Well my school room is driving me crazy and all the clutter from the kids so I am starting to go through organize and throw/give away things. I am starting with my closet off the schoolroom for storage to help get me organized. I have already cleaned it out and here are the bare bones of my closet. I am looking for some good organizing ideas. I hope to keep in here my craft/art, sewing and other supplies. I do have a couple of 2 drawer filing cabinets that I am hoping will fit in there. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

oooh, I have a closet just like that. I tried bunches of different ways to organize it. What worked the BEST is when I put a filing cabinet in it. This particular filing cabinet is wider than a normal one. It has 2 side by side drawers that fit sewing patterns or dvd's on their sides. But a normal filing cabinet would work, with just a bit more room on the side. Behind the filing cabinet, I kept luggage, space heaters during the summer, stuff like that. I couldn't get at the stuff, so whenever someone went on a trip, I had a skinny kid slither behind the filing cabinet and get a suitcase.
Beside the filing cabinet, I put stuff like a birthday present, AC filters, things that aren't often used, but need a safe place where they won't get crushed.
Since there is some floor space in front of the filing cabinet, I always meant to get a broom holder attached to the door to use that space, but never got around to it.
