Saturday Psalm & Praise

I was reminded of this song in a "History Stories for Children" and sang it to my children....it has been going through my mind ever since.

Were You There
By: Negro spiritual

Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?

Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?

Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?

Were you there when God raised him from the tomb?
Were you there when God raised him from the tomb?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when God raised him from the tomb?

love this old song it brought back thoughts of my father who would always sing with that baritone voice. Oh do I miss those days but I know he is in heaven singing in the grandest choir of them all

I love this song, and have only truly begun to understand it within the past few years. Praise the Lord for HIS sacrifice.

Make sure you link yourself here: http://jacquedixon.com/?cat=7 and link that on your post.

I hope you participate again next week! Blessings! :)
