Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is a family favorite. Both my girls (1 who lives at home and 1 who doesn't) decided to make cookies today. While I do have the recipe memorized I keep losing the hard copy, so I am posting it here.
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups of sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups of chocolate chips
nuts (optional)
In a mixing bowl cream together shortening, butter, and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed ingredients. Mix well. Add chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes
